The Al-Anon Family groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcholoics who share their experience, strength and hope, in order to solve their common problems. Al-Anon is open to anyone who is troubled by someone else's drinking.

Eligibility: Children; must be aged 6-14, live in Danville/Pittsylvania County, who the parent; school or a referring agency recognized a need for a one to one relationship with a caring adult. Volunteer: Must be of good character and willing to commit to a one to one relationship with a child.

Service Fee: None

Services Provided: Provide adult role models, mentoring and activities for children in the community and the school based program. Training and supervision are provided to the child and to the volunteer.
