Eligibility: Residents of Danville, Pittsylvania County and other surrounding counties. Must be 60 years of age or older. Must be age 55 or older for Employment and Training services
Service Fees: Sliding scale based on income for personal care, housekeeping, respite, chore, case coordination (case Management) and home repairs. All other services at no charge
Services Provided: Information and assistance, transportation, meals served at senior lunch sites, health promotion activities, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities for seniors, job training and placement, small home repairs ofr safety and acceessibility, home delivered meals personal care, light housekeeping, respite, coordination of care from multiple resources, emergency services, medicare, (including prescription assistance) medicare supplement, medicaid long-term care insurance counseling, help with resolving problems for people who receive long-term care.

Angel Food Ministries A program that distributes grocery items at a significantly reduced cost. The "Signature Box" costs $30 and containes approximately $60 - $75 worth of meat and food staples. The menu changes each month so be sure to check out the "boxes" and "specials". If you don't need the staples, you can now purchase the "specials" only.
EVERYONE qualifies! It is designed to help families with the rising cost of groceries. This is a great program for every age group from young families to the fixed income elderly who don't want to cook all the food items they need to get a balanced diet.

Patient Advocate Foundation The Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) Co-Pay Relief Program (CPR) currently provides direct financial support to insured patients, including Medicare Part D beneficiaries, who must financially and medically qualify to access pharmaceutical co-payment assistance. The program offers personal service to all patients through the use of call counselors; personally guiding patients through the enrollment process.
